Q1 Plan for 2010

Executive Summary

My mission in the first quarter of 2010 is to get my home production network/systems 100% stable, in order to assist in my goal of wrestling control of my data back from evil corporate overlords (as much as one can anyway).

The idea is to build a very solid foundation for the other 3 quarters to be based on. A solid network/systems foundation is key.

High level break down

• Get my production network and systems ready for hosting my data in a secure and sustainable manner.
  • January: Please see my blog post on the January work done in support of this task (rewired network, got backups working, documented the production network)
  • February: my post on the work planned for February (lots and lots of monitoring/security work)
  • March: Present on work done in January/February to LiLAX/SFVLUG/UUASC/SGVLUG
